$1.99

Gas at my local QT is now $1.99. Why don't we hear endless stories about gas prices going down? Or, why aren't we hearing discussions that the stock market is only 84 points away from crossing the 11000 mark?

I think we know the answer but I thought I would pose the questions anyway.
