Entrepreneur facts

I have been trying to start my own business for the last year, Live to Shoot, and it has been a real learning experience as well as humbling.

I ran across some of these facts which I thought were interesting.

1. The most common reason people start their own business is because they don't want to work for someone else. (I can echo that)
2. 45% of new business are alive 5 years after starting.
3. The average amount used to start a new business is $25,000.
4. 33% of people starting a business are able to have it up and running within 7 years.
5. The average number of employees of a start-up is 1.
6. The most common source of financing is the entrepreneur's savings.
